A Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s Deputy was taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle Wednesday.
It happened around 12 p.m. in Hernandez.
The Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s Office says Deputy Cindy Garcia was investigating a weather-related crash when another vehicle ran into her.
Garcia was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in Espanol with a leg fracture after a car slid into her on Highway 84 but is expected to be okay.
Garcia was injured in a crash while off-duty in December 2016.
She and her husband were driving along NM-599 in Santa Fe when a car pulled out in front of them.
It was more than a month before Garcia was released from the hospital.
