New Mexico State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on U.S. 64 at milepost 282.
A preliminary investigation found that on Wednesday, November 7 around midnight, 46-year-old Taos resident Pahana Scott Quintanilla was driving a 1998 Subaru when for reasons unknown, Quintanilla lost control of the vehicle and was ejected as the car rolled.
Quintanilla was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials state the vehicle’s seatbelts were not being used and do not believe alcohol was a factor.
