The deadline is fast approaching for victims of cleary sexual abuse to file a proof of claim in the ongoing bankruptcy case filed by the Catholic Archdiocese of Santa Fe.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge David T. Thuma approved a deadline of June 17. A Friday order is now requiring the archdiocese to publish notices of the deadline.
The archdiocese filed for bankruptcy reorganization in December, citing the financial burden of continuing litigation brought by victims.
