Deadline for input on border barrier in southern New Mexico approaches

Members of New Mexico’s Congressional delegation are asking citizens to share their input on a border wall in southern New Mexico.

Border Patrol Officials are looking to replace 46-miles of fencing in Luna and Dona Ana Counties with a wall, along with new lighting and detection technology.

Customers and Border Patrol want input on how the project could affect the environment, culture, commerce and quality of life. Comments and information will be accepted until Wednesday, May 8, 2019 by email at commentsenv@cbp.dhs.gov or mailed to:
