DA drops vehicular homicide charges against DWI suspect

The District Attorney’s office has dropped charges against a man accused of a DWI crash that killed two people. 

Juan Espinoza, 22, hit another car head-on on State Road 68 in September 2017. 

Cedrick Kober of Santa Fe and Hannah Metzger of Florida were killed, a third person suffered brain damage. 

Friday, the District Attorney’s office dismissed the vehicular homicide charges against him. 

They do have the option of re-filing, but did not provide a reason.
