Drivers in southern New Mexico saw a dramatic scene Sunday night, as a brush fire quickly spread along the side of Highway 70.
According to the Las Cruces Sun News, it was started by a truck and camper-trailer that started of fire near San Augustin Pass.
Witnesses say the fire then narrowly missed a house before crossing into White Sands Missile Range.
No structure damage or injuries were reported.
Crews are still out there monitoring the situation, and one lane of westbound Highway 70 is expected to remain closed until sometime Monday evening.
