Committee rejects permit for Family Dollar in Taos County town

New Mexico

EL PRADO, NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Residents opposed to a new Family Dollar in Taos County have won their fight.

According to The Taos News, the County Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously denied a permit for a proposed store in El Prado.

Opponents say the building does not fit with the current landscape and architecture. The project manager says the applicant does plan to appeal the ruling.
