Clovis teen among the first female Eagle Scouts in nation

CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – Christmas came early for a Clovis teen. Megan Scruggs of Troop 733 has become one of the first girls in the country to become an Eagle Scout. The Boys Scout of America started allowing girls into its ranks last year and the organization starting elevating girls to Eagle Scout this year.

In October, Rio Rancho sisters Ainsley and Sierra Martin also earned the honor this year.
