Authorities are searching for an armed robbery suspect who targeted a Clovis business.
Clovis Police say officers were dispatched to a Payment 1 Financial on North Prince Street Friday around 10:43 a.m. following reports of an armed robbery. Witnesses at the scene told officers that a male suspect entered the business, demanded money and then threatened to shoot the workers.
Authorities say the suspect stole money and property before fleeing the area. He was allegedly armed with a black semiautomatic handgun.
While detectives and officers searched the area for the individual, they were unable to locate him. No one sustained injuries during the incident.
According to police, the suspect was a male approximately 5-feet 8-inches tall, about 200 pounds, and was wearing a light blue button-up shirt with gray dress slacks. The suspect also had on a dark blue jacket, black dress shoes had a light gray “newsboy” style hat and was only wearing a glove on his left hand.
