LOS ALAMOS, N.M. (KRQE) – The National Park Service announced some changes to the Bandelier National Forest. On Tuesday, officials announced that Stage II fire restrictions have been lifted for the area.
According to a Park Service press release, this is due to recent rainfall, continued moisture headed to the area, and reduced fire danger. The change became effective on August 28. Stage I fire restrictions remain in place year-round.
