An old dumpster turned into a piece of art has now returned to the dump.

In 2014, a New Mexico sculptor created the “Love Transfer Station” out of the old dumpsters along Santa Fe’s Saint Michael’s corridor.

Over the years it started to fall apart and became an eyesore to the area. According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, City Councilor Joanne Vigil Coppler pushed for its removal.

This week it was hauled away to the city yard.
