ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Prosecutors are appealing a decision to dismiss charges against former Taxation and Revenue Secretary Demesia Padilla. Padilla is accused of stealing $25,000 from a grading and trucking firm, a company she did accounting for.
Five of the charges were thrown out by Judge Mary Sommer earlier this year. Now, the Attorney General’s office has filed an appeal for that decision.
