The Santa Fe Police Department reportedly fired five officers in 2018, but the city is not saying who or why.

According to the Albuquerque Journal, the Santa Fe Police Department has 26 vacancies.

Mayor Alan Webber also told the Albuquerque Journal the vacancies were due to officers retiring, leaving for other jobs and through termination.

The Albuquerque Journal also reports a city spokesperson would not identify the officers or reveal the reasons behind their firings.
