2 soldiers killed, 7 injured in crash during training exercise

Two soldiers are dead and seven others are injured following a crash in southern New Mexico. 

Officials say two Fort Bliss military vehicles were involved in an accident on U.S. 54 and McGregor Range Road.

It happened Tuesday night during a training exercise just northeast of Chaparral. 

Military police confirm all nine people involved in the crash were from the military. 

Two soldiers assigned to the First Armored Divison have died. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
