A Bataan Death March veteran has passed on, just shy of his 101st birthday.
KRQE News 13 was there last year when Ralph Rodriguez celebrated a century on earth with the community.
Rodriguez was drafted into the U.S. Army at 18 years old and was a prisoner of war for three years.
He later survived the Bataan Death March, returning to his home state of New Mexico.
His family invites the Albuquerque community to join them in celebrating his life Friday night at 6 p.m. at the San Felipe Church in Old Town.
