New Mexico woman pleads for someone to rescue cat stuck in tree

News

A cat that was stuck in a tree has been rescued after a New Mexico woman was pleading for someone to help.

Loreen Green said the feline was stranded dozens of feet in the air in Bosque Farms.

It had been up there since last Wednesday. She was worried the cat would not survive unless it was rescued immediately.

“It won’t come down on its own because it’s so dehydrated and malnourished. I don’t think it has the strength to come down,” Green said.

Green said she contracted the fire department, village maintenance and animal control, but they didn’t have the resources to get it down.

She hoped someone with a cherry picker could help out.

Thursday evening, the cat was eventually rescued thanks to Village Code Enforcement Officer Vince Otero and Dave’s Tree & Hauling Service.
