New Mexico voters head to polls for municipal elections

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Voters across the state are headed to the polls Tuesday for municipal elections.

Rio Rancho residents are voting on 11 charter amendments. One puts the salary of the mayor and city council members in the hands of the voters. Another is a bond question that would raise $9 million to repair roads.

In Los Ranchos, voters will elect their next mayor and two trustees.

Polls close at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
