New Mexico post offices will be holding Passport Fairs Saturday, November 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The fairs will offer passports, passport photos and passport cards with no appointments needed.
Those visiting the fairs will be helped on a first-come, first served basis.
Identification must be brought to the office to prove U.S. citizenship such as: a previous passport, city certified birth certificate, consular report of birth abroad, naturalization certificate, or certificate of citizenship.
A current ID must also be shown which includes: a naturalization certificate, a valid driver’s license, current government or military ID.
Passport applications must include a recent passport photo which can be purchased for $15 at the Fair.
Adult passport books are $145 which includes a separate payment of $110 made to the State Department as an application fee and another $35 fee to the Postal Service. For those under age 16, payments will be $115 with those fees being $80 and $35.
Passport cards for adults are $65; a $35 U.S. Postal Service fee and a $30 State Department application fee. Those under age 16 will pay $50 that includes a $35 Postal Service fee and a $15 State Department fee.
Youth under 16 years old will need to be accompanied by both parents in order to apply for passport cards and books.
