The state will be investing tens of millions of dollars in pre-k education.
The Public Education Department announced $33.6 million will go towards programs across New Mexico. That’s a $10 million increase from last year.
The new money will help 11 districts offer pre-k for the first time, including Clovis, Carlsbad and Las Cruces.
Meanwhile, programs in Albuquerque and Santa Fe are expected to grow.
