A new spelling bee champion has been crowned for the Land of Enchantment.
Akansha Nanda from Carlos Gilbert Elementary School in Santa Fe took home top honors Saturday.
Her winning word was “Mozambique,” the southern Africa nation.
The PED congratulated Nanda on Twitter, saying she will represent New Mexico well.
