News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – U.S. Senator Tom Udall is standing behind a plan to ban a chemical used by dry cleaners. The Environmental Protection Agency is considering a ban of TCE which they say has been linked to cancer and liver toxicity.

The chemical has been used for years.

Udall says if the EPA moves forward with the ban it will be the first time since the early 1990s that they’ve banned a dangerous chemical used in commerce.
