New Mexico school to participate in White House Easter Egg Roll

News

A New Mexico elementary school will represent the state in a time-honored tradition.

The Arts Academy at Bella Vista in Clovis will take part in this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll.

The event is in its 140th year.

Children create an egg and then push it through the grass with a long-handled spoon.

This year, the Arts Academy has been chosen to participate.

According to the Eastern New Mexico News, their design includes the state’s Zia symbol and the school’s Bravehearts logo.
