New Mexico receives $10.7 million grant to help with homeless population

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico is receiving a big federal grant to help with its homeless population.

U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich welcomed $10.7 million from the United States Housing and Urban Development.

The money will go towards programs trying to help New Mexicans experience homelessness.

Counties across the state will split the grant.
