ALBUQUERQUE, N.M (KRQE) – A new study says New Mexico is the 33rd most obese state in the country in 2016.
This is according to a study from The State of Obesity: Better Policies for a Healthier America.
It says New Mexico’s adult obesity rate is 28.3 percent.
That’s increased from 17.4 percent in 2000.
West Virginia had the highest rate at 37.7 percent and Colorado had the lowest at 22.3 percent.
