New Mexico middle schooler arrested for threatening teacher

A New Mexico middle schooler has been arrested for making threats to a teacher. 

State Police say the 14-year-old attends Snell Middle School in Bayard. They say he posted a video message on social media threatening the teacher with “acts of violence if his grade wasn’t raised.” 

The student is charged with extortion, assault on a school employee and interference with the educational process. 

The identity of the teen is not being released.
