New Mexico man sentenced for being an accessory to murder

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A New Mexico man will spend three-and-a-half years in prison for his role in a 2015 murder.

The brothers of 38-year-old Maynard Shirley killed Brandon Blueeyes after forcing their way into his Fruitland home. They stabbed him and his father.

In January, Elijah Shirley was sentenced to 10 years and Michael Shirley was sentenced to five.

Maynard Shirley pleaded guilty to being an accessory in December. He was sentenced Monday to three-and-a-half years.
