PRESIDIO, N.M. (KRQE) – A New Mexico hunting guide and his client were shot during a hunt in West Texas.

Officials responded to Circle Doug Ranch in Presidio, Texas Friday night after reports of multiple shooters and two victims.

When deputies arrived they found 26-year-old Walker Daughtry and 59-year-old Edwin Roberts had been shot. They were both flown to a hospital in El Paso.

According to a GoFundMe page, the shootout happened after “illegals” tried to steal Walker’s RV.

Deputies are still investigating, but say at this point there’s no evidence to support those allegations.
