A travel book published at the University of New Mexico just took home a national award.
“Eco-travel New Mexico” by Ashley M. Biggers focuses on places in the state that are earth friendly.
With handy insider tips and insights, the guide takes travelers to destinations including farm-to-table restaurants and green hotels.
“And also outfitters so if you want to hire somebody to guide you to those natural areas, as well as cultural destinations like our pueblo communities,” Biggers said.
The book took home a Bronze medal in the Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Competition.
