New Mexico counties work to fight drug trafficking

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Counties across the state are working to combat drug trafficking.

The Pecos Valley Drug Task Force just received a $365,000 grant from the New Mexico High Intensity Trafficking Areas program.

Officials say the funds are crucial in helping target problem areas.

Lea County also received $399,000.

Chaves and Lincoln Countries also received more than $130,000.
