DENVER (KRQE) – There is a positive update on a New Mexico baby getting a controversial medical treatment in Colorado.

2-month-old Amylea Nunez has suffered from seizures since she was born. Doctors couldn’t figure out what was causing them so her parents looked into a treatment called “Charlotte’s Web.”

The treatment uses cannabis oil to treat children. The THC is taken out so the children don’t get high.

The family tells KRQE News 13 that Amylea is now out of the hospital and has been seizure free.

She is now staying at the Ronald McDonald house in Colorado where they will continue to monitor her progress.
