New Mexico artistry featured in new advertisement

News

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – The beauty and artistry of New Mexico is being highlighted in a new advertisement.

The New Mexico True ad from the state tourism department highlights Navajo Silversmith Roland Brady who hand makes jewelry in his home near Shiprock, a craft he learned from his mother.

The hope is that the ad will draw people to Santa Fe’s many art markets during the summer and provide customers with a deeper connection to what they’re buying.

Other ads in the series include Aunt June, which features a 91-year-old Hatch native sharing her family’s history in the chile business.
