Many New Mexicans spent part of their weekend applying for a new passport. The U.S. Postal Service held passport fairs at nearly four dozen different post offices across the state Saturday.
It gave people a one-stop shop to fill out documents, take photos and make payments. Those at the event said they were impressed with the whole process.
“It was very convenient for us because you normally have to make an appointment. So having this service for us was very convenient for us,” said Anthony Montoya Jr.
The post office recommends printing and filling out the application ahead of time.
