New exhibit promotes colorectal cancer awareness

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – March 1 is the first day of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and organizers of a new exhibit in Albuquerque are hoping to catch your attention.

A 20-feet long, 10-feet high replica of a colon will be on display at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.

“Strollin’ the Colon” is an exhibit that shows the various stages of colorectal cancer and pre-cancer conditions. Medical Center Staff will be there to answer any questions during the event.
