Neighborhood association plants dozens of new trees downtown

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Downtown Albuquerque has 42 new trees lining the streets. Volunteers from Albuquerque’s Downtown Neighborhood Association determined where the trees would fit and planted them. The city now owns these trees, but the property owner is responsible for taking care of it. Each of the owners receiving a tree signed a “tree easement” contract with the city detailing its care.
