Volunteers are helping cleanup homes damaged by the flooding following the 416 Fire.
Heavy rains on the burn scar caused mudslides and major debris flows causing serious property damage north of Durango.
According to the Durango Herald, Team Rubicon — which is a national disaster relief team made up of veterans — is helping out.
Over the weekend, the group cleaned up a family’s home that had major damage to flooring and drywall.
The city says the damages were not enough to warrant FEMA funding.
