TSA begins carry-on powder restrictions

Beginning Wednesday, new procedures from the Transportation Security Administration regarding powders in carry-on bags will go into effect.

Any container holding 350 milliliters or more of powder will need to be checked.

That’s roughly the size of a soda can.

TSA says failure to do so could result in a bag search.

Starting June 30, foreign airports with direct flights to the U.S. will have to adhere to the same restrictions.

Additional information on what is allowed in carry-on luggage can be found here.
