Purgatory Ski Resort is having a historic season. Skiiers and snowboarders will be able to hit the slopes through May 4. It’s the first time “Purg” will be open in May.

The resort has picked up nearly 30 feet of snow this winter. That’s only happened twice and Purgatory since 1965.

Purgatory Village Express (Lift 1) will be turning from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both Saturdays, and officials say they’ll have nearly half of the mountain open tomorrow, including five terrain parks. The resort’s mid-mountain base depth is currently 55 inches.

Discounted lift tickets will be available at the window: $49 for adults (18-64), $37 for teens (13-17), $32 for kids (ages 11-12) and $39 for seniors (ages 65-79 – guests ages 80 and older ski free). Kids 10 and younger receive a FREE Power Kids season pass that’s valid every day this season and the 2019-2020 winter, too.
