Organizer issues refunds after Trump balloon fails to fly in El Paso_1550188952610.jpg.jpg

The organizer of a GoFundMe is refunding people who paid to bring the baby President Trump balloon to El Paso after high winds prevented it from going up.

Community members donated to the cause to have the controversial balloon shipped from California for President Trump’s visit Monday, but the winds ended up making it too dangerous to fly.

The fundraiser’s organizer is offering to refund donors if they have proof of payment.

The page raised nearly $4,000—considerably more than the $1,400 it ended up costing to ship the balloon.

The leftover funds were donated to Annunciation House.
