The Durango Police Department will soon be arming its officers with body cameras.
The department has been using dash cameras for about a decade, but will now use body cameras as well.
The chief will be leading a town hall meeting on Wednesday to inform the public about the program.
The department says the cameras, both body and dash, will cost about $100,000 a year.
They will be buying 47 body cameras for the 55-member force.
