Businesses in and around Durango are working to recover for the impact of the 416 Fire.

The city’s Business Improvement District and Tourism Office are behind a push to attract locals and visitors back to downtown Durango.

The campaign includes radio ads, as well as block parties planned on July 13, 20 and 27 to encourage downtown shopping.

Meanwhile, Purgatory Resort reopened Monday, July 2 for all summer activities, like mountain biking and ziplining.
