Authorities in Durango are working to track the phone number linked to bomb threats made to three Durango elementary schools causing evacuations.
According to The Durango Herald, Durango Police Commander Rita Warfield says the calls went out about 2:25 p.m. to the Needham, Park and River elementary schools back-to-back.
Police say the calls came from the same number.
The caller claimed there were multiple explosive devices throughout each of the schools.
Police say Monday was an early release day and most of the students were gone but students in after-school programs were evacuated.
Police say all schools were swept and are safe for class Tuesday morning.
