Displaced Camp Fire students offered free tuition to private schools

National

Students displaced by the California Camp Fire won’t go without a proper education.

The Diocese of Sacramento is offering free tuition at more than three dozen of their private Catholic schools.

Tuition to these schools usually runs anywhere from $5,000 to $6,000.

Students will get free uniforms, school materials, and hot lunches.

“When we heard that the Butte County schools were going to need a little bit more time to reopen and knowing that families have been scattered across the north and the Sacramento area, we just thought it would be good to open those desks to kids to get them back into school,” said

All costs associated with the school will be at no expense through the remainder of the school year.
