Movie shot in New Mexico receives four Oscar nominations


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A movie filmed in New Mexico has been nominated for four Oscars.

“Hell or High Water” was nominated for best picture, film editing and best writing. Jeff Bridges was nominated for best actor in a supporting role.

The movie about brothers robbing banks to save the family farm was set in west Texas but filmed in Clovis, Portales, and other parts of the New Mexico.

The Film Office says the production employed more than 100 New Mexico crew members and 850 background talent.
