Valencia County Jackpot spotlights youth work with livestock


Young people are benefiting from New Mexico safety, education, and training which is making a difference in their lives.
It was initially created to give kids and those with special needs the ability to participate in shooting sport and hunting opportunities throughout the state of New Mexico.

Next month they’re back, hosting the second annual Valencia County jackpot. This a great chance for kids to start showing the livestock they’ve worked with and getting them to show at their local county and state fairs. 

Entry fee for market lamb, goat, & pig is only $20 with 85% going back to the participants in forms of prizes. There will be trophies for the respective Grand & Reserve Champion from Each breed. This event is open to the public to enter and view. June 22, at the Valencia County Fair Grounds in Belen.
