Get ready Albuquerque, there’s a lot happening this week in the city.

This week the Duke City is filled with rock shows, beer festivals, and the New Mexico State Fair to name a few.

Here’s a list of some of the main events happening this week.

11th Annual Albuquerque Hopfest

New Mexico’s Biggest Beer Festival celebrates its 11th year at Isleta Resort & Casino.

This year’s event features over 60 fantastic breweries, ciders and spirits, unlimited craft beer sampling, three stages with 7 of the city’s best local bands, games vendors, and so much more.

80th Annual New Mexico State Fair

The New Mexico State Fair celebrates it’s 80th birthday.

Ranked by SmartAsset.com as the 2nd best state fair in the country and 3rd most affordable state fair in the nation by Home2Go, the New Mexico State Fair includes a PRCA rodeo and performances by nationally-known country recording stars, plus Indian and Spanish villages, all in the heart of Albuquerque.

Visitors can explore art, agriculture, animals, entertainment, food, carnival rides, exhibits and shopping at one of the largest state fairs in the country.

2018 New Mexico State Fair Rodeo-Concert Lineup

Almost every night of the New Mexico State fair features a top-notch concert or PRCA Rodeo.

This week’s lineup includes:

  • Friday – DNCE,
  • Saturday – PRCA Xtreme Bulls and Dustin Lynch
  • Sunday – Rank Lil Buckers Rodeo
  • Tuesday – Wrangler National Patriot PRCA Rodeo (standalone rodeo)

12th Annual Southwest Funnyfest
Come out for an adults night of no holds barred, side-splitting comedy featuring four of the nations top female headlining comedians from Showtime, The Tonight Show, Logo, Last Comic Standing, OWN, and TBS.

This year’s comedians are Gloria Bigelow, Bridget McManus, Suzanne Westenhoefer, and will be hosted by Dana Goldberg.

You must be 16 years or older to attend.

Concert: Def Leppard/Journey

 Two of classic rocks most timeless will be coming to Albuquerque in concert.

Journey is one of the most popular American rock bands of all time, creating some of the best-known songs in modern music.

They have continued to tour and record into the 21st century, firing on all cylinders and making sure their fans will never stop believin’.

Albuquerque’s Latino Film Festival ¡Cine Magniífico!

¡Cine Magnífico! celebrates Spanish and Latin American culture through the presentation of some of the best of modern cinema in a weekend-long program, featuring work by first-time filmmakers and established masters alike.

The subject matter runs the gamut from comedies, action, romances and documentary films, to dramatic masterpieces.

Some of the riskiest and most innovative films of recent years will be included.
