Think Like A Bee offers tips on how to support honeybees in your yard

Think Like A Bee is a nonprofit organization for pollinator advocacy and education, in particular, the preservation of bees for a healthy food system, and the conservation of their habitat for a healthy and sustainable planet.

If you have any problems with swarms in your yard, trees or home, please call the City of Albuquerque number, 311 OR the swarm hotline, 505-243-1386, located at the Bernalillo County Extension office.

Beekeepers are staffing the office and providing expertise and assistance to safely remove bees from your premises.

As we get ready for planting our gardens and the season of flowers, you can also support native and honeybees by providing forage year-round in your yard.

There are many native plants, but they must be non-exotic, non-GMO and chemical free for bees to be healthy and survive.

Your local plant nursery can help you with New Mexico native plants, such as Plants of the Southwest, Jericho, Osuna, Rehms, to name a few.
