Rising sea levels, warming oceans, and firestorms motivate arts and sciences to join together for collaborative climate change awareness performance at UNM.
On Wednesday, March 21, the University of New Mexico Wind Symphony is hosting a collaborative event to bring awareness to the urgent issue of climate change. Together with the Departments of Earth and Planetary Sciences, and the Sustainability Program, the Wind Symphony presents a concert entitled “This Beautiful Earth, A Concert for Climate Change Awareness.”
The 50-instrument event will feature music, arts and science displays, as well as presentations of the human impact on the environment. Many community groups will be on hand to provide information on action individuals can take to slow climate change.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at Popejoy Hall.
