New Mexico Horse Rescue Thrift Store Purchases Going Towards a Worthy Cause

Mornings

New Mexico Horse Rescue at Walkin N Circles Ranch is a non-profit organization that rehabilitates and finds adoptive homes for abandoned, abused, and neglected horses.

They were founded in 2002 and currently care for about 60 horses.

Hug a Horse Thrift Store is a charming retail shop just down the road from them in Edgewood, that donates 100 percent of its profits to the care of our rescued horses.

This covers about 40 percent of the New Mexico Horse Rescue’s annual budget.

With holiday shopping in full force, now is a perfect time to talk about their thrift store.

Not only does the New Mexico Horse Rescue’s profits go toward the care of rescue horses, they also serve the local community by donating their surplus goods.

For example, they provide emergency clothing bags for the homeless, stuffed animals for local police and fire departments to give to traumatized children and free books to every child who enters the store.

With the holidays approaching, New Mexico Horse Rescue wants everyone to remember their store for their gift-giving needs this season.

It’s a win-win for horses, shoppers and the community.
