New Mexicans Can Now Shop Local From Home

New Mexicans have a new and easy way to “shop local” this holiday season without leaving the comfort of their home.

In the early hours of Small Business Saturday, the New Mexico Tourism Department unveiled its third annual New Mexico True Certified Holiday Gift Guide, a digital catalog of products that are 100% made, grown, or born and raised in New Mexico.

Nearly 50 New Mexico True Certified partners have identified their most popular products for gift giving, all of which are linked from the New Mexico True Certified Holiday Gift Guide at

From traditional holiday treats like New Mexico Piñon Coffee and biscochitos to a sophisticated poncho and custom-made jewelry, online shoppers can find a variety of products that support New Mexican businesses.

“We know that people want to shop locally, but perceive that it is easier to do their holiday shopping online,” said Tourism Department Cabinet Secretary, Rebecca Latham. “This is an easy solution that benefits our New Mexico businesses and keeps those precious dollars close to home.”

Some of the featured products in the New Mexico True Certified Holiday Gift Guide include:
• Red, green and chipotle infused olive oil from New Mexico Gold
• Hand-stamped silver earrings from Silver and Earth
• Mint julep face and body cream from Leela’s Body Cocktails
• Land of Enchantment light cubes carved with a Zia and balloons from Inaccord Designs
• Handmade gourmet dog treats from Tailwaggin Temptations
• A selection of rich dark chocolates from the Chocolate Cartel, Cacao Santa Fe, The Chocolatesmith and Cocopotamus

Latham also noted that the wide variety of New Mexico products featured in the guide gives shoppers unique options they may not have been aware of before.

“Pet lovers, jewelry lovers, coffee lovers, chile lovers, art lovers, wine lovers… there is something for everyone in this guide. You’ll be amazed at the diversity and quality of the products coming from our own backyard.”

The New Mexico True Certified program is open to all New Mexico businesses with products that are 100 percent Made, Grown, or Born and Raised In New Mexico.

Since its launch in 2016, the program has grown to more than 250 partners who leverage the power of New Mexico True to amplify their marketing messages and sell more product.
