Local band Sonyk Vortex will perform to support charities

Sonyk Vortex is a local band that’s been around for seven years. The band members do more than just play music, they also help their community and have chosen two charities to support, NMDOG and Kids Supporting Kids New Mexico.

According to the group’s website, the band has played at numerous venues to raise money for their charities, including playing at an Albuquerque Isotopes baseball game, Outpost Performance Space, Comic-Con, Summerfest, New Mexico State Fair, Cliff’s Amusement Park, birthday parties, Fourth of July parties, schools, fundraisers and holiday events.

On Saturday, May 11, from 1 p.m.until 3 p.m., there will be a raffle at  O’Neill’s on Central and O’neill’s will donate a portion of all food and drink sales during the fundraiser. There will be no cover charge. Check out the band’s website at Sonyk Vortex for more information.
